The Welsh Tenants Federation is governed by the National Management Committee (NMC) which meets quarterly. All Management Committee members are volunteers (staff attend meetings by invitation and have no voting rights). The Committee consists of elected representatives from the four regions. Observers from the regions are also invited to attend NMC meetings.
The Welsh Tenants Federation consists of four regional areas within Wales: South West; South East; Mid and North. These make up the member base. Members of the WTF nominate representatives to serve on the management committee and the elections take place at the AGM.
The WTF is managed through the Member Support Team which consists of the Executive members of the National Management Committee, i.e. Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Chair, and staff. Advisors are also invited to attend Member Support meetings which meet monthly.
The National Management Committee and the Member Support Team work tirelessly with staff to achieve the policy aims and objectives of the Welsh Tenants Federation which includes:
- Participation development and support
- Information leaflets and advice to members
- Regional ATTAIN (Accessible Tenant Training and Information Network) Events
- Public meetings
- Support to members
- Conferencing and seminars and debating session concerning Welsh housing and communities policy.
Events are always friendly and informal and provide an opportunity to network among tenant and resident groups in your local area and regionally
